Greetings all,
Recently Blizzard announced that they will be making changes to the battle.net system that ties in all realID's to the users posts on every official Blizzard forum (the Starcraft series, Diablo series, WoW, etc.). What does this mean for you? If you've ever posted on the official WoW forums in the past and/or plan to ever do so in the future - you will be doing so using your REAL name (first and last). Players will no longer have the anonymity of their character to hide behind or any user name.
There has already been some tremors in the OI community where people have clearly stated they would be terminating all Blizzard services because of this. What are your thoughts?

| The first and most significant change is that in the near future, anyone posting or replying to a post on official Blizzard forums will be doing so using their Real ID -- that is, their real-life first and last name -- with the option to also display the name of their primary in-game character alongside it. These changes will go into effect on all StarCraft II forums with the launch of the new community site prior to the July 27 release of the game, with the World of Warcraft site and forums following suit near the launch of Cataclysm.
