I recently crossed enemy lines to meet with Eraendil, a member of our WoW Draka chapter. Eraendil agreed that the Cantrips & Crow Tavern in the Underbelly would be a good place to meet and was curious about my expense account. Narisa comes by to check on our drink status
Zulgha: Please tell me how you pronounce your name.
Eraendil: Era-en-dil, but you can call me E if you like, many people do.
Zulgha: E, how long have you been a member of the OI community?
E: It's been quite some time. Almost 3 years ago - On September 12 2007 I followed this cute dwarf Boogly here... *Sigh* those were the days...
Zulgha: How did you discover our community?
E: Well, a series of circumstances which all started way back when the previous guild I was in melted down. Several members of that guild (Revolution - if memory serves) joined OI and informed us that it was a nice social environment with no taboos or booze limits!
Zulgha: I detect an accent, do you mind telling us where you’re from?
E: I'm wayyyyy north of that evil lobster trap I once got caught in Boston... Turnpikes! Who the hell invented those anyways!? Wait, back to the question at hand gorgeous, I'm from Quebec a Canadian province. Where the winters are cold cold and the men can keep anyone warm!
Zulgha: Do you still play the original character you joined on?
E: My main is still the first character I created in WoW! I created a warrior blacksmith/miner thinking it would be a straightforward class to play... *snicker* how wrong I was...
Zulgha: Do you play any other characters?
E: Though I have several others, the only other toon I seem to have time play is my hunter Laurea... She's such a cutie!
Zulgha: What class do you enjoy playing most?
E: My warrior tank hands down.
Zulgha: Who do you consider your “main” character?
E: Why I consider myself quite the character really... *WAITRESS! My beer is broken it keeps emptying!*
Zulgha: Do you have a favorite profession?
E: Other than being an escort to the damsels in distress, I guess blacksmithing.
Zulgha: Is there a profession you’d never take again?
E: Probably blacksmithing! Back in the day of Molten Core, finding any Iron, True Silver or Thorium ore was next to impossible. I remember almost going insane trying to complete the Thorium Brotherhood and Mithril Order quest lines.
Zulgha: What do you find most rewarding in game?
E: The people are what is most rewarding but also most frustrating.
Zulgha: If you had a friend just starting out, what one piece of advice would you give them?
E: Bring an ample supply of beer, some Old Spice for the ladies and join a friendly bunch like OI. *WAITRESS! I thought I said a FULL beer!* Your company is sure making this pleasant Zulgha! What did you say you doing later?
Zulgha: I imagine typing up my notes but a friendly game of shots isn't out of the question. How about your favorite pre-BC instance/raid and why?
E: Unfortunately I did not get to raid much pre-BC, but I think Black Rock Depths, I know the place inside and out trying to get my hands on dark iron.
Zulgha: What zone in the old world did you like the most and why?
E: Anyone that had Thorium! But I spent most of my time in the Plague lands for both ore and dungeons.
Zulgha: And the Outlands? Favorite instance?
E: I think it was heroic Slaves Pens because that was my first heroic. Back when crowd control was necessary and you needed your entire bag of tricks to live each pull! But Karazhan has my heart, that's where I made my raid leader debut and I still fondly recall the Opera event!
Zulgha: Which zone did you like in the Outlands? Or was there one that you hated?
E: I can't say there was a zone I like or hated either way. But then again, there was that bar in lower Shattrath city - they have quite the assortment of services there...
Zulgha: What about Northrend? You have a favorite instance there?
E: Heroic Halls of Reflection from a 5 man perspective. It actually offered some measure of challenge.
Zulgha: And zone in Northrend? Anyone you like over the rest?
E: I seem to spend most of my time in Ice Crown, but I can't say I'm partial either way to any.
Zulgha: Have you had a chance to read up on the new expansion pack?
E: Not much really. From what I gather warrior tanks get even better than they are now - can't see how's that possible when I'm a warrior tank, but we'll see. *WAITRESH! Bring yourshelf and that tray of beers to my lap! I won't bite, if you don't want me to!*
Zulgha: Where do you currently have your hearthstone set?
E: No other than Dalaran! I usually pick an inn where the services are "hospitable". Though if you whish, I would have no qualms in shelecting the same inn as you Zulgha... *wink wink*
Zulgha: Look at you trying to pick up the aggro in true tank fashion *blush* What’s your current fishing skill?
E: I don't really fish, I'm more of meat and potatoes kinda of tank. Though I'm not averse to cute things with pigtails!
Zulgha: How about firsht aid *hic*?
E: I've learned a long time ago how to mend broken hearts and minister tender love and care to the elegant women of Outland.
Zulgha: Do you cook much?
E: Eraendil does not cook, but he does have other toons that do.
Zulgha: How many vanity pets do you own?
E: I'm not much for vanity, I'd rather we keep things between us...
Zulgha: *giggle* Do you have a title you’re esphecially proud of?
E: Champion beer drinker *hic* Oh. In game? That would have to be Knight-Champion. Before I got into raiding there was a time I did quite shome PvP. Those titles were pretty hard to get.
Zulgha: Name one thing you’d like to still accomplish in game:
E: Kill the Lich King. But time will tell that story.
For my readers who are interested, our tab came to 57 gold and 17 silver. And I assure you, it was worth every copper. My hangover lasted 3 days but I'll remember this interview always. This is Zug Zug Zulgha signing off from the Underbelly.
