Recently I was able to sit down with an esteemed member of our community, L.L. Lesword, or more commonly known to his friends “Les”. I was able to ask a few questions between enamored females interrupting us trying to give their numbers to Les.
Zulgha: How long have you been a member of the OI community?
Lesword: I joined the ranks back in September of 2006.
Zulgha: Do you still play the original character you joined on?
Lesword: Nah, I joined with my human priest on Draka and have not played him since he reached 70 and the first expansion came out. It took a while for me to see that Horde is where it’s at. *wink*
Zulgha: How did you discover our community?
Lesword: I was an officer of Illuminated Souls when we merged with Order of Illuminatus. Let’s just say a plate of brownies and an autographed picture of Monty Python went a long way towards Sintax’s decision to give me an officer spot in my new home.
Zulgha: What class do you enjoy playing most?
Lesword: Although my main was a Shadow Priest on Draka, I leveled a Blood Elf Paladin on Eitrigg and that became my favorite class to play. I prefer DPS on my Pali, but I can surely tank if needed. Chicks dig scars!
Zulgha: Who do you consider your “main” character?
Lesword: The Paladin, Lesword on Eitrigg
Zulgha: Is it Le-Sword or Les-Word?
Lesword: Le Sword
Zulgha: Do you have a favorite profession?
Lesword: Does checking out the ladies count *chuckles* I have not tried Black Smithing but so far I'd have to say Alchemy is my favorite. Although I deny the rumors of my working on any type of “love” potion. My charm needs no enhancements *wink*
Zulgha: Is there a profession you’d never take again?
Lesword: I think Inscription is pretty lame and I’m not too fond of tailor for some reason.
Zulgha: What do you find most rewarding in game?
Lesword: The people... hands down, the people.
Zulgha: Let's talk about instances now. What is your favorite pre-BC instance/raid and why?
Lesword: I've never been a RAIDER and can honestly say I never will. I'm a big family man and raiding just eats up too much time and is commitment which I cannot afford.
Zulgha:How about the Outlands? Did you get to enjoy any of those instances?
Lesword: Having said I am not a raider, I do enjoy Mana-Tombs. Not really sure why, guess it might have to do with me making my first healer since playing WoW and I find it fun healing in there.
Zulgha: And Northrend? Any favorite instance/raid there?
Lesword: I like Ice Crown Citadel and I think the reason is ever since the Random Heroics came out I've gotten pretty sick of everything else from doing them so many times.
Zulgha: Okay that's it for instances. What about Zones? Do you have a favorite Old World Zone and if so why?
Lesword: I am undecided for some odd reason.
Zulgha: Any zone strike your fancy in the Outlands?
Lesword: I liked Netherstorm as it was "different" to me as far as WoW scenery goes.
Zulgha: How about Northrend? Any zones worth mentioning?
Lesword: Dragonblight, I like Dragons!
Zulgha: Where do you currently have your hearthstone set?
Lesword: Dalaran, of course!
Zulgha: Your skill with the ladies is legendary. How about your current fishing skill?
Lesword: *sigh* - The one profession I cannot find the strength to max out. Currently at 406. I hear there’s a daily fishing quest. *shudder*
Zulgha: How about first aid skill?
Lesword: Maxed. /flex Although I rarely use it on myself. The scars you know....
Zulgha: What about your cooking skill?
Lesword: Maxed although I prefer to go out for dinner.
Zulgha: Do you have many vanity pets? Do you have a favorite?
Lesword: I don't have too many pets... I do have the White Dragon for getting over 50 mounts.
Zulgha: Do you have a title you’re especially proud of?
Lesword: Ambassador. It seemed to take me forever to get it and it allowed me to get all those neat mounts from the other factions.
Zulgha: Name one thing you’d like to still accomplish in game.
Lesword: Attempt/Finish my very first 25-man raid since it's is the least-likely thing to happen.
Zulgha: I appriciate you sitting down with me today Les. It's always good to get an insight to those you game with. Makes them more Orcish and approachable.
Lesword: Anytime Zulgha! If we don't make time for others we're only cheating ourselves.
