This policy is to ensure that those wishing to join Oi Draka Alliance Chapter of Order of Illuminatus know how to apply and know what to expect in regards to the application & interview process. We established these expectations for all players interested in joining the Oi Draka Alliance Chapter up front, so the process & procedure is known by all in advance.

Who we are
A gathering of like-minded gamers from a diverse array of backgrounds who have come together under the noble banner of OI. We also <3 dipthongs, and so take great joy in shouting "OI" in guild chat and in public places. The majority of our community consists of adults, but we welcome mature gamers of all ages.
What we look for
Mature gamers of all backgrounds. To exist in OI, you must fundamentally want to be a part of our community before all else. Yes, we raid and yes we PvP and yes we do fun social events. But all of that is simply part and parcel of the overriding sense of community that our diverse membership and multiple chapters add to on a daily basis. We open our doors to gamers of all kinds, but suggest that those with a 'hardcore' mentality might find a better fit in guilds dedicated to that purpose.
Official Policy for Applicants
"FIRST, all applicants will be required to provide ONE reference from one current Disciple member in good standing. The member who is making the referral must post in the applicant's application thread and must be willing to vouch for the general character and playstyle of the applicant.
SECOND, all applicants must be interviewed by at least TWO officers. The interviewing officers will post in the applicant's thread indicating that he or she interviewed the applicant. If there are any objections to admitting, from either interviewing officer, the applicant might not be admitted to OI. "
SUMMARY: Single application - One Reference by existing member - Two Officer Interviews
How to become a member of Oi Draka?
1. Complete and Post an application to join (CLICK HERE!)
2. Please have one of our current Oi Draka guild members (Disciple) post a statement on your application thread recommending/supporting you as a potential new member.
3. After you've posted an application to join, next time you are in-game on Draka - type "/join Oi" and ask to speak to an officer.
4. If there is not an officer available to interview you, please check back at a later time. Patience is a virtue!
5. Once you've arranged your interview, the officer will assist you in arranging a second interview for you with another officer.
6. Upon completion of your second interview, the interviewing officer will get back to you with a decision whether to invite you or pass.
7. If you receive your guild invite, you will begin your Adept trial period (approximately 2 weeks). This Adept period gives you the ability to see if you like the guild and gives the guild the ability to see if you're a good fit for our community.
8. Upon completion of your Adept period, you will have a follow-up interview with an officer prior to being promoted to Disciple (full member).
Additional Expectations & Information
In reference to the above 8 steps, here are some expectations:
1. The application should be complete, thorough, and as detailed as possible. It's your opportunity to make your first impression, so help us get to know you and your toon(s).
2. A reference is important. It can be any member of our guild that you know. Simply send that person a whisper and tell them you're applying to join Oi and that you would like them to support your application to join by posting a quick recommendation in your application thread on the guild forums.
3. Before you "/join oi" in game and ask for an officer, please make sure you have successfully posted your application and that your sponsor has also posted their recommendation for you.
4. If an officer is not available, PLEASE be patient! We are a large guild and our officers are frequently busy running instances, PvPing, helping others, etc.... Just wait a bit, then try ask again at a later time.
5. After completing your first interview, the officer will assist you in arranging a second interview. The second interview may or MAY NOT occur immediately. You may need to wait for a bit, until another officer becomes available.
6. You may not be invited immediately at the conclusion of your second interview. The two officers who interviewed you may need a moment to chat and/or talk to the member who supported your application. Again - please be patient and the officer who interviewed you will get back to you.
7. Adept members may not join in guild 25man raids and have limited access to the guild bank, but Adepts are welcome to join in any other guild related activities & events (BG's, 10mans, 5mans, social events, etc...) This is your time to get to know our members and time for them to get to know you! It's a good thing! We want you to love Oi and we want to make sure we're a good home for you. Adept period is typically 2 weeks, but may be a bit longer or even shorter - on a case by case basis.
8. Once you are promoted to a Disciple Member, after your follow-up interview, you may have alt toons invited to Oi! Once Disciple you can also participate in 25man raids and your guild bank access will be expanded.
Disclaimer
1. At any point in the above process, guild leadership may choose to "Pass" on your application to join.
2. We reserve the right to "Pass" on your application without elaborating or disclosing our reasons.
Already a member of Order of Illuminatus?
For those who are already members of the greater guild community - Order of Illuminatus - your application & interview process might be expedited or skipped all together if you do the following:
1. Let your current chapter guild leader know that you wish to have a toon in Oi Draka.
2. Ask your current chapter guild leader to send the Oi Draka chapter guild leader a forum PM supporting you.
3. (Optional) You may also directly PM the current guild leader of Oi Draka expressing your desire to join the Oi Draka Chapter.
4. At that point, we will be in touch with you and/or your chapter guild leader with details.
Disclaimer
1. You MUST be an active member in good standing in one of the current chapters of Order of Illuminatus.
2. We freely invite & encourage members of other chapters of the guild to join us on Oi Draka! Oi Oi!
3. However, your membership in another chapter of Order of Illuminatus does NOT equate to immediate carte blanche membership to the Oi Draka chapter.
4. The Guild Leadership of Oi Draka reserves the right to deny admittance into to the Oi Draka chapter.
5. We reserve the right to "Pass" on your application without elaborating or disclosing our reasons.
Returning member?
For those who were members of Oi Draka in the past, but may have left Oi Draka for one reason or another - and wish to return:
The application & interview process might be expedited or skipped all together if you were purged due to inactivity or if you left on "good terms"
What to do: - Simply send a forum PM to the current guild leader of Oi Draka requesting information on how to be readmitted to the guild. Depending on the circumstances; you may be asked to post a quick "I'm back" message on the forums for an expedited guild re-invite - OR - you may be requested to complete the entire application & go through the interview process.
Disclaimer
1. If you left on "bad terms" or if it's unclear whether you left on "bad terms" or not, you will probably be asked to complete the entire application & go through the interview process.
2. If you were purged due to inactivity, it's likely that your guild re-invite will be expedited. Send a message the Oi Draka guild leader.
3. If you left the guild on "bad terms" or on "questionable terms", this does not necessarily mean that you will never be readmitted to the guild. However, the application & interview process may take significantly longer. It's best to contact the Oi Draka guild leader for more information if this situation applies to you.
4. The Guild Leadership of Oi Draka reserves the right to deny admittance into to the Oi Draka chapter.
5. We reserve the right to "Pass" on your application/request to rejoin Oi Draka - without elaborating or disclosing our reasons.
