Ventrilo Key Binding

This article will demonstrate how to create a key binding in Ventrilo to allow you to speak to multiple rooms, or just a room that you are not in. You may also need to use Phantom option to listen in to another room. Both options require some administrative approval which is covered in the Ventrilo Administration article.

For this demonstration we are going to create a key bind that allows you to broadcast into the eight siege groups we have set up for Age of Conan.

On the top of the Ventrilo Client click the -> to the right of the Bindings field.
Select New to the right of the Binding field.
Name the new binding set - note this can be a whole set of keys so keep it general.
Click OK.

Select the Add button to create the actual key binding
Select PTT Advanced'
Click in the bind field and press the key you want to bind this to. NOTE: This could potentially interfere with other programs running, so choose carefully!
Click OK.

You will be presented with a PTT Advanced options window.
Choose the transmit style. For sieges you can select either the whole siege room and sub rooms or individual rooms. We will choose individual for this demonstration.
Click the ellipsis (thats the "..." to the right of the Channel Names field)
Select the channels you want to be able to broadcast into from the right and click the "<- Add" button.
Click OK when done.
